'Dull' light makes all your colours sing! Lovely Christina
October is no dull … for sure.
Costas
the garden is really wonderful!
Not dull at all. I love the colour on that Acer ๐
Hello everyone, thanks for all your comments ๐
Christina, ahโฆ a musical garden sounds good to me ๐
Costas, I agree ๐
Gerry, thank-you ๐
Juliet, weโve had that Acer many years now. It glows out to me through the window at this time of year ๐
Your garden is anything but dull. It is so full of texture, color and wonderful wildlife. My garden should be so dull.
Not dull at all but very lovely!
The weather might have been dull but your photos and flowers certainly weren't ๐ I have Japanese Anemones too, mine are Honorine Jobert and September Charm, they make such a lovely show at this time of year.
Beautiful butterfly photos on the previous post. The Red Admiral is my very favourite butterfly ๐
Hope all is well and that you have a good weekend!
Beautiful. I bet if you cropped the photo of the anemone floating in a sea of acer leaves it would make an interesting image.
Great blog – I love autumn – the shorter days are compensated by the beautiful colours and wildlife
Dull? No way–not with all that beauty! ๐
Hello again everyone, thanks for all your comments ๐
Lisa, I do love playing with texture and colour in the garden thatโs for sure. Iโm always delighted to hear you enjoy sharing my garden ๐
sweetbay, hello again โ thank-you!
Jan, so nice to see you with a blog post โ what wonderful images you have of creatures I have never seen/noticed before. Iโm coming back at a more reasonable hour tomorrow to take my time to enjoy your post with my breakfast. Goshโฆ I had a very surprise visitor this morning. I really love the Japanese Anemone. Not sure which one my white is but I am enjoying September Charm here too. I didnโt get my camera out but spotted a Peacock butterfly with a couple of Small Tortoiseshells over the weekend. Iโll Catch up with you tomorrow ๐
Sue, thanks, for the idea too ๐
Sharon, hello there. Thanks for stopping by and your comment. Absolutely, Autumn is a rich time of year alright ๐
Kim, yes and what varied beauty colour has at different times of the day and season โ the rich colours maybe donโt last too long at this time of year but what a delight they are for now arenโt they ๐
I like the acer.Autumn colour seems particularly good this year. The wet soil seems to have helped many deciduous plants hold their leaves longer.
