A very handsome aster. They color looks rich and vivid in your photo.
One of the stars of this time of the year!
This aster is on my 'must get' list. Apparently it originates from Devizes and I'm gradually assembling any Wiltshire originated plants I can find for the garden ๐
A favourite with me Shirl. Your photos have captured its beauty.
Hello again to you all, thanks for visiting and leaving your comments ๐
Lisa, it really is. I sourced out a nursery for this plant as not often seen in garden centres up my way. I originally planted it round the side of the house but moved my two plants so I can see them from my gardenwatch window (to see bees and butterflies visit it) and it has been a knockout in terms of colour. Itโs a beauty especially now with the acers autumn colours. Iโm loving it!
Sue, Absolutely, this more compact one is the only aster I have in the garden. Iโd happily buy more for other borders too โ I just need to find room for it ๐
VP, get it, do get it for 2018! What a great idea to focus on with a garden plant list. Great info to add here too โ thanks ๐
Anna, Iโm not at all surprised, I would think a favourite with everyone that grows this one. Thanks, the colours are so nice and rich with the autumn light ๐
This is one of my favourites.
